what we've been up to...

peeling and shredding lots and lots of crayons

painting rocks (that had been heated at 250 degrees in the oven for 20 min) with said crayon shavings

celebrating lucy's birthday with these awesome flower cupcakes!

playing twister

and Zingo

the girls' new friend (who also happens to live next door) plays the piano rather well.  she provided some excellent music at the birthday party.

making individual pizzas and eating them

opening presents

and sweet lucy got baptized.  we even got to share the ceremony with lucy's friend from our former ward.

Since my brother and 2 of his kids came to visit, we've been keeping ourselves entertained.  we've had an average of 13 people over to our house during the day for the past 5 days.  the kids have plenty of cousins to play with all day long, which means they don't have much of  a chance to be bored!  We've started doing some fun projects with the kids, and we celebrated lucy's birthday.  Lucy also got baptized yesterday afternoon, and eventhough i spent most of the time in the hallway with a restless 19 month old, (i totally should have assigned someone to take care of her) it was a really neat experience.

The girls asked if they could take some pictures with my camera, and i reluctantly obliged, but they didn't break it, and they got some cute pictures!

most of our yard is covered in shade because of all the pretty trees we have everywhere.  it's very nice since it's like atleast 10 degrees cooler in the shade than it is in the sun light.

Lucy's wanted me to start giving her cooking lessons recently, and ofcourse, i'm more than happy to do so since that is what i spend a lot of time doing; cooking and baking.  And cleaning, but i don't think she's interested in cleaning lessons...

So, the kids have just been enjoying the new house and loving the space we have to entertain all of their cousins.  at the same time.  i know.  it's awesome.

Lucy's 8!

excited to open presents

modeling her new dress and purse

new la la loopsy and scriptures.  she was especially excited about getting her own set of scriptures.

putting the finishing touches on her birthday cake

My Lucy turned 8 years old on Monday!  I can't believe how time has flown!  She's so big now, and will even be baptized into the LDS church this weekend.  We are so excited and lucky that we have so many family members close by to be able to attend.  My brother, Josh, and two of his children even came to visit for a few weeks, and they will get to be there, as well.  Lucy is such a blessing to our lives, and we love her sooooooooooo much! :D

Mimi

we found a cat while we were living at grandpa's house, and we brought her home to our new house when we finally moved in.  she is a crazy cat.  she's either cute and sleeping, and jumping out and attacking your feet as you walk by.  she's only 9 weeks old, but she's gonna be a big cat!  we love her and all of her craziness!  and every kid that comes to our house loves to torment her!  no wonder she's so crazy! :D
