happy valentine's day!
the girls decorating cookies
Aside from Jayne being sick, we had a lot of fun celebrating valentine's day this weekend! On saturday, we made cookies and decorated them. Sunday, I made cinnamon rolls with pink icing, and richie took molly and lucy to church (i kept jayne home). Lucy gave a talk in primary (and did very well, i hear!), and after church, i gave the girls their valentine's gifts (socks, chocolates, and a valentine). It was a good day. now, if only i could get rid of some of these cookies...

We signed Lucy up for girl scouts this past september, and have been anxiously awaiting this time of year! Cookie time! This is the first year that Daisy Scouts (5 to 7 year olds) can participate in cookie sales, and i can see why they waited until they were a little older in previous years. Lucy is only 5, and she doesn't really know what's going on. She knows we're selling cookies, and she did set a goal to sell 11 boxes. She's reached her goal, and is now working on selling 25+ boxes so she can earn some incentives such as badges, bracelets, stamps, you know, girlie stuff. So, the question remains? which girl scout cookie is your favorite?

i'm quite fond of the caramel delights, myself...

birthday fun!
Since my camera's flash broke when one of my daughters (who will remain nameless, JAYNE) dropped it on the very unforgiving kitchen floor, i "borrowed" these pictures from my friend brittany's blog. aren't they awesome pictures!?
the birthday cake i made for my friend, brittany's little girl, who just turned 2 years old! i remember when she was born...
they had a "dress up" birthday party, and jayne came dressed up as a surfer/hula girl, and lucy was a ballerina princess. here she is trying on some bubba teeth that she got at the party.thanks for inviting us, guys! the girls had a blast!
