lucy's preschool graduation

Lucy had her preschool graduation today, and it was really fun to see her and all of her classmates in their caps and gowns! They played the Pomp and Circumstance as they made their way up to the front of the chapel (it's a Methodist preschool), and the kids sang some songs they had learned this year after getting their "diplomas". At one point during the ceremony, Ms. Mara, Lucy's teacher, asked the kids what they enjoyed most about preschool this year and what they wanted to be when they grew up. Lucy said she enjoyed playing and wanted to be a mommy. how cute is that?! They had a reception after the ceremony where they had a really cute cake made up for the kids and parents. It was really neat to be there, and i can't believe that my lucy will be a kindergartner in the fall!

my friend, brittany, watched my munchkins so richie and i could go to the temple with family yesterday. isn't she a great friend? :D

a friend donated this to our cause, the "how to keep molly occupied for a few seconds so we can get something accomplished" cause. it works, too!

look at how much fun she's having eating food! i told her she would like it, but she's been so stubborn! she normally won't eat from a spoon unless she's feeding herself, but, today, she let me feed her her new favorite (mango) from a spoon. infact, it was as if i couldn't shovel it in fast enough!

my friend, brittany, and i ran our first 3 miles ever last night! i am so excited that we finally made it to our goal!

Happy Mother's Day! This year for mother's day, we went to the 3rd ward to hear my brother-in-law, Mark, (who just got back from his mission in brazil) speak in sacrament meeting.

he's so goofy! jayne was just over 1 year old when he left for his mission, and lucy was almost 3. he comes back and jayne isn't a baby anymore, and lucy is almost in kindergarten! molly wasn't even a twinkle in our eye then, and now she's 6 months old! it's crazy what can happen in 2 years time... here's my cute molly. the flash gets her everytime. i guess i could turn it off, but i'm not sure how to do that...

i got some really awesome gifts for mother's day. a necklace that lucy made just for me at preschool, a bracelet with all of my girls' names on it (that my beautiful mother made for me), a bracelet that says mom (that my awesome in-laws got for me), and...............a PIANO!!!

the piano i found on craig's list (awesome site, by the way), and bought for $30. it used to be a player piano. it's way out of tune (but my dad can fix that), and it's a little beat up, but for $30, we can get it spiffed up a bit! i just need a bench for it...(hint, hint) :D

6 months and 5k run

richie was trying to hold her up so she wouldn't fall over. can you see his head sticking up above the bed? :D

molly is 6 months old as of 1st of may! she's such a sweet girl, and she's getting so big! she doesn't quite sit up on her own yet for too long before toppling over, but she does get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth. recently, she's started getting up on her hands and toes and scoots backward across a room. she then gets rather annoyed when she ends up under the couch or up against the wall. at her last doctor's visit, she weighed 14 lbs 12 oz, and was 25 1/2 inches long. she's in the 25th percentile all around, but atleast she's perfectly proportioned for being so small!

on another note, my friend, brittany, and i ran our first 5k yesterday! we had just gotten back from utah on wednesday, and brittany has been sick since tuesday. we usually run 3 days a week, but we only got to run once this past week, and we still managed to finish the race! brittany is such a trooper!
