haircut

my mom's always telling me to do something with jayne's hair. it's not like i don't try. if i can convince her to let me put a barrette in her hair, or put it up in some way, it isn't long before she takes the barrette out, and i'm not gonna spend all day fighting her about it. so, today i cut it again. hopefully, that will do for now.

this one is after i cut her hair. that barrette only lasted maybe 5 minutes before she took it out. it's a little short, but it'll grow back, right? jayne likes it!

the fire museum

I took the girls to the fire museum this morning, and jayne and i thought it was cool, but lucy, not so much...

We got to see really cool stuff.

like the kitchen at the fire house.

and all the compartments on a fire truck.

they even let some of the kids get up on top of the fire truck.

everybody even got fire man hats.

Jayne says we should go back sometime, but lucy thinks differently. Maybe when lucy's in school...

ashley's birthday!

my sister-in-law's birthday is tomorrow, and we had dinner at my father-in-law's house to celebrate. happy birthday, ashley!

i've started watching my niece, emma, on a regular basis, and she is so stinkin' cute! i've taught her to put her finger to her mouth and say "Sshhh" when molly is sleeping so she won't disturb her, and she loves to wear the girls' dress up jewelry!

she also enjoys sitting in molly's car seat! isn't she adorable?!

more stuff...

I thought i'd just show some of the pictures i've been taking over the last couple of weeks and let you know what we've been up to. The weather here has been beautiful this week, and eventhough it's 75 degrees outside, jayne and lucy are still getting some use out of their new hats and gloves that they got for christmas.

Richie and i are planning on growing a garden in our backyard this year. we've already started getting the ground all tilled up and ready. i hope we're successful! i'm super excited about it!


We really enjoyed having richie home for a couple of long weekends during christmas and new years. the girls really loved having him around to play with (and snooze with).

I just thought lucy was really cute in this picture wearing richie's hat and sunglasses.

Jayne hadn't really paid much attention to molly since she's been around until recently, and she's actually pretty cute with her!

Lucy actually took this picture. Jayne is usually seen around our house (or even outside of it) wearing a blanket as if it were a cape. i don't know if she just finds it easier to carry around with her this way, or if she's practicing being a super hero.
