field trip to HEB

my friend, brittany, and i took our kids (along with some other preschool-age children from church) on a field trip to HEB. they gave the kids some crowns to wear while we toured the store and learned about eating healthy. lucy did so well, and listened to the really sweet lady that gave the tour. she was the oldest child there, though. jayne stayed by me most of the time, and didn't want to join in the group of children until the very end when the tour was over.

emma and brittany's little girl playing nicely in the shopping cart.the kids wearing their crowns.the lady teaching the kids where they should go if they get separated from their parents while shopping. too bad we don't really shop here...lucy was all about being up in the front with everybody until they pulled this guy out. it's a lobster, and lucy wanted nothing to do with him!

the kids had a good time, especially since we got all sorts of free samples. yummy. maybe i should start shopping here, the store is awesome, and there's alot of variety, too.

stuff

i was going to write a post on our new van that we were supposed to get today, but as it's already 8:30pm, and we still haven't heard anything from the guys who's selling it to us, i guess it's not happening today. so, instead, here are some cute pictures of the adorable children in my life!my molly is 4 months old tomorrow! where has the time gone?!
I took emma and jayne to the park this week when the weather was really warm. i'm talking 90 degrees warm! we went around 11am, and, needless to say, we didn't stay long.

here's jayne on the elephant statue at the park. she's gonna be 3 in just a few days! i can't believe how big she's gotten! she's just the cutest little stinker, too!

i love that lucy can write now. it's really neat seeing her write notes and such. mind you, we have to tell her how to spell words, but atleast she can write them! here's a picture that she drew of richie. i love the hands...

library cards and birthday cake

This weekend we went and got library cards for everyone in our family, including molly. i don't know why we didn't do this years ago, but i love to read, and now i can read all the books i want without having to buy them first! whoo hoo!

My friend, Brittany's, little boy had his 3rd birthday this week, and i made a dinosaur cake for him! It turned out pretty cute, too!

I can't believe this little booger is almost 4 months old! She just keeps getting cuter and cuter every day!

valentines day

we had a fun valentines weekend. we celebrated my friend, brittany's, birthday on saturday, but somehow, i managed to erase the pics from my camera!

here's a picture of the "happy birthday" sign lucy and jayne made for brittany. they wanted to make it really special for her.

this is the cup cake stand that had earlier held the cupcakes we made for her.

we came home early from church this morning because richie and i had been coughing all morning, and we spent some time making valentines cookies!

we also made valentines for lucy's preschool class this week, and decided to make some for our family members who live near by, too.

lucy even signed her name on each card!

here are the girls in their valentines dresses!

birthdays and other stuff...

My friend's little girl turned one last week.

She's quite attached to a little stuffed dog, so i modeled her birthday cake after it (well, atleast it looks like a dog, right?)
Here she is enjoying her cake and wondering why i'm taking her picture.
my father-in-law had a birthday on the 2nd of this month, and sunday, we had a little celebration with some family. I made him a really yummy chocolate cherry stack cake for the occasion, since he loves anything chocolate.

My niece, emma, just keeps getting cuter and cuter every time i see her. especially when her mommy does her hair like this:

There have been requests for more pictures of molly smiling. you'd think it would be easier to get her to smile holding a camera in her face, but here are some of the pics i got this evening in my attempt to get her to smile.

whatchya doin' mom?

I had lucy try to get her to smile, it's too bad that there's such a delay when you take a picture with a digital camera.

Not every picture can be a happy one!
