here are some of the cakes i've made recently for friends/family's birthdays. it seems all the birthdays of people i know are all grouped within a couple weeks of eachother, so there's always a cake to be made! these were really fun to make, though!

Labor Day

Richie has been working 12 hour days/7 days a week for about 3 weeks now, but he was lucky enough to get Labor Day off this week! The weather was sooooooooo nice, and we took the kids to the park, and then over to richie's dad's house for some yummy food and fun. the kids spent pretty much the whole time we were there outside playing. they haven't been able to do that since march because of the hot weather, so it was a nice break. We jumped on the trampoline, the kids took a ride in a wagon that's attached to grandpa's little tractor, they blew bubbles, drew on the driveway with chalk, and molly even convinced daddy to take her swimming in the pool. now, we tried to tell her that it was too cold to go swimming, but she was determined to go. the thermometer in the water said it was 65 degrees, and even so, richie got in with her. he's such a trooper! you could tell they were freezing, but molly didn't complain. crazy kid!

abby finally figured out how to crawl on her hands and knees while we were there. she's been creeping around on her belly for the past couple of months, and now she's figured out how to crawl and she does it like a pro! she's also pulling herself up on pretty much everything and falling over alot because of said climbing up. she's all of a sudden entered the "getting into everything" stage, which i never really had to worry about with molly. she was never interested in getting into cupboards or movie cabinets or anything. she was my easy toddler. so, it's a good thing abby is cute! :D
