The kids playing Magiquest at the hotel.  You buy this magic wand, and there are clues you have to follow, and quests you play to become a master Magi.  They spent about 4 hours playing this over the 2 days we were there.  They all loved it (especially Richie)!

The Great Wolf Lodge part 1

 

We spent 2 nights at the Great Wolf Lodge this week!  It.Was.Awesome. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

the water park was loads of fun.  I spent most of the time with Abby and Emmalee (who fell asleep in my arms both times.  It was like carrying dead weight around, I tell ya!) in the little kids parts, but it was still entertaining!

 

 

 

 

They had storytime at the great clock tower in the main lobby of the huge hotel every night at 8pm.  We went the first night.  The kids were kinda creeped out by the animatronics, but it's all good.

Richie's birthday

 

he's made entirely out of Legos.  Awesome.

 

I think Richie had a pretty good birthday.  We spent it at The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX.  He got to play at the awesome water park there, where he spent 2 hours going down the giant water slides with Lucy.  We went to the cool arcade, had dinner at the Lodge (where they came out and sang and made a fuss over him), followed by ice cream at the Bear Paw.  He also got to go to the Lego Land store (Lego Land  was all booked up for the time we could go), and he even got to fill himself a cup with Legos to take home.  He was in heaven.  Happy birthday, boy!

So, I've made a lot of cakes recently, and some people have wanted to see some pictures, but I haven't even remembered to take pics of a lot of them!  However, here are some of the ones I did take a pic of before they were sold/devoured/donated/given away!

Lucy had her 10th birthday on the 23rd of July!  She invited a couple of friends to the mall for a  scavenger hunt, and then ice cream cake and presents at our house.  They seemed to have had a lot of fun!  I can't believe she's 10!!
